Blue Dog Creature Coaching’s Family Manners Dog Obedience Class integrates the principles of reward-based training and the Tellington TTouch Method.

We’ll demonstrate to you how positive reinforcement in adult dog training clearly provides better results than punishment and force. Dog’s naturally want to please their owners, and your dog will love your praise for a job well done. We’ll also teach you about the best training equipment to use to get optimum results from your six week class.

Classes are designed to educate dogs and their people to live together successfully, build teamwork and communication, while teaching manners and real life skills. Our non-confrontational, family friendly training environment is designed to reduce your dog’s stress and arousal for optimal learning (and fun!).

We welcome the entire family to participate in the dog’s education. Adult dog training is usually much more effective when all the family members are consistent with commands and techniques. And, our classes and methods really are fun for the whole family.

• First class is a 90 minute orientation without dogs
• The basics of dog management, communication, and how to use reward based training techniques to set you and your dog up for success
• Learning simple TTouch bodywork and balanced movement exercises to reduce stress, arousal and increase communication
• Basic commands such as sit, down, stay, attention
• Introducing walking in balance on leash and basic elements of the recall
• Tricks such as roll over, crawl, and shake
• Problem solving for undesirable behaviors such as jumping up

Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Class size is limited for individualized attention for you and your dog, so don’t wait to register. Please keep in mind that if our classes don’t fit your schedule, you can always sign up for Private In-Home lessons. If you prefer to mail a check for payment instead of using PayPal, you may download our Registration Form and mail with proper payment.
